Preetam Sirur, CISSP, CMMC-RP

2025 FuturistCISO Award Winner – CXO Magazine

He built the first wireless network on a stock exchange trading floor. Three decades later, he's building the AI-native platform that runs cybersecurity due diligence on the deals reshaping mid-market industries. The throughline hasn't changed: Preetam shows up where a security failure would be a business event, and leaves the business measurably stronger than he found it.

NYSE, 1996–2008:

Twelve years inside the exchange that prices the world's capital. Preetam installed NYSE's first wireless LAN and built the first 802.11i pico-wireless floor network for brokers, security engineered for a trading floor with zero tolerance for downtime. When September 11 knocked out lower Manhattan's infrastructure, he led the team that had the floor trading again within a week.

S&P Global, 2008–2018:

Ten years securing the benchmarks markets are priced against, S&P Dow Jones Indices, Platts, and S&P Ratings. He cut vulnerabilities 70% in his first year and compressed patch cycles from quarterly to monthly. He presented findings directly to the SEC, the UK FSA, and regulators in Japan and Brazil. When Hurricane Sandy took out the region, his division's systems were back online by Monday morning.

Vitech, 2019–2022:

Retirement and benefits administration software, scaling fast. Preetam's security architecture drove a 40% gain in deployment velocity, fast enough to help unlock $15 million in new business.

Sightview Software, 2022–2025:

CISO for a healthcare SaaS platform serving 1,500+ organizations. He cut audit findings 87% and held zero security incidents for three straight years, a record he sustained through a corporate restructuring, exactly when security programs usually take the first hit.

Credentials:

CISSP. CMMC-RP. MIT cybersecurity certificate. AI Generalist Fellowship, Growth School (completed November 2025). Hands-on depth across AWS, Azure, GCP, and zero-trust architecture.

Recognition:

Named 2025 FuturistCISO by CXO Magazine, for applying AI-native thinking to cybersecurity leadership.

Before all of it:

Preetam trained at the prestigious National Defence Academy and Indian Military Academy, and served as an Artillery officer. The discipline of that world, clear decisions when the picture is incomplete – never left. It's just aimed at a different kind of exposure now.

Through PerfectSync Cyber, and now MergeSentinel, he brings that same judgment to the deals and the systems where security isn't a line item on a checklist. It's the difference between a deal that holds up and one that doesn't.
